Bar Clelio
About This Spot
Walking into Bar Clelio on Via Nazionale in Cannigione feels like slipping into a well-worn, familiar rhythm. It’s the kind of place where the tempo slows just enough to let you breathe, linger, and enjoy the moment without fuss or hurry. This warm spot, part café, part bar tabac, carries the easygoing spirit of a local favorite where people come as much for the atmosphere as for the offerings behind the counter.
The mood here is quietly convivial, marked by the friendly hum of casual conversation and the comforting clink of glasses. Whether you settle in for a midday pause or a relaxing late lunch, you’ll find a setting that balances gentle hospitality with a pace that invites you to stay a little longer. The music drifts through the air, adding a layer of subtle energy, while the modest seating encourages simple, unpretentious connection.
Bar Clelio’s menu serves as a companion to this unhurried vibe, offering satisfying bites that feel both genuine and approachable. From a plate of fresh Tagliatelle with shrimp and zucchini to the simple pleasure of a cappuccino with a crisp krapfen, the dishes carry a sense of homegrown charm without pretense. Sharing a pizza or a seafood salad here amplifies the feeling of day-to-day comfort wrapped in local flavors, where quality and value meet without raising expectations too high.
This is a spot where the service, attentive though not intrusive, supports the easygoing rhythm of the place. Moments of pause or the occasional wait add to the authenticity—here, the experience is crafted by the genuine flow of people and time, rather than rush or rigid efficiency.
At Bar Clelio, there’s a quiet joy in the ordinary made memorable. It’s a place that invites you to become part of a familiar scene, to savor simple dishes, and to unwind with a drink in hand amid the curated everydayness of Cannigione’s lively Via Nazionale.

We had a lovely experience here. We came for a late lunch, and it was relaxing and we weren’t rushed. The staff were efficient and prompt. We had a 4 Cheese pizza and a chicken & salad panino-type sandwich. The pizza was tasty, lots of toppings/very cheesy, but not the best base. I thought it did the job and was tasty, and very good value. I don’t think you can expect much more from a tabac / cheap lunch spot. The chicken sandwich was good, a bit dry and not much salad, but again, cheap, did the job, was filling and tasty. For a speedy lunch, it was perfect.

The pizza we had was okay, service was good, but since there was only one waitress, we had to wait for a while, but not too long. Not the comfiest chairs and the music was a little bit too loud. Considering the prices, it does deserve 4 stars. If this review was useful, hit the like button! Hotels, food and gyms, follow me for the best tips and hidden gems, all across the world.
